J-1 Student Intern Program Information & Application Process

The primary objectives of the J-1 student intern programs are to enhance the skills and expertise of exchange visitors in their academic or occupational fields through participation in structured and guided work-based training and internship programs and to improve participants' knowledge of American techniques, methodologies, and technology.

  • Management, Business, Commerce and Finance;

  • 科学、工程、建筑、数学和工业职业。

选择标准

A student intern may participate in a J-1 student intern program, if the following criteria is met:

  1. 赞助商必须确保实习生具有可验证的英语语言技能，足以在培训环境中日常工作。担保人必须通过认可的英语语言测试，通过球速体育(亚洲版)在线官网机构或英语语言学校签署的文件，或通过担保人亲自或通过视频会议或通过电话进行的书面面试来验证申请人的英语语言能力，如果视频会议不是可行的选择。
  2. 实习项目的赞助商必须核实所有潜在的实习生都是目前在美国以外的学位或证书授予的高等教育机构全日制注册并在他们选择的高级职业领域学习的外国人，或者在交流访问者项目开始日期之前不超过12个月从此类机构毕业。

实习项目发起人的一般义务

  1. 确保选择适当,实习生,面向,监督和评估。
  2. Be available to interns (and host organizations, as appropriate) to assist as facilitators, counselors, and information resources.
  3. 确保实习项目在受训者和实习生的学习机会和他们对所在组织的贡献之间取得平衡。
  4. 确保实习项目是全职的（每周至少32小时）。
  5. 评估。In order to ensure the quality of training and internship programs, sponsors must develop procedures for evaluating all interns. All required evaluations must be completed prior to the conclusion of an internship program, and both the interns and their immediate supervisors must sign the evaluation forms. 对于超过6个月的项目，至少需要进行中期评估和总结评估。对于六个月或更短的课程，至少需要进行结论性评估。Sponsors must retain trainee and intern evaluations (electronic or hard copy) for a period of at least three years following the completion of each training and internship program

申请J-1学生实习生的程序

  1. 赞助部门和学生实习生完成J-1学生实习生申请包和培训/实习安置计划（T/IPP）表DS-7002。
  2. 提交护照照片页复印件。
  3. 提交一份官方的财务宣誓书，证明有足够的资金来支付就读费用（如果不是由ufl资助）。
  4. 将所有文件提交至isss@louisville.edu。
  5. 如果获得批准，DS-2019和DS-7002将被扫描到申请上指定的电子邮件地址。
  6. 一旦学生实习生收到DS-2019和DS-7002，在认证指示处签名。
